WHO IS THE SAMESAME COMMUNITY?
Our average age: 25–38.
You’ll meet: digital nomads, founders, designers, developers, marketers, freelancers, wellness entrepreneurs, people in transition.
What we share:
curiosity about the world and the others, respect for shared space and other people’s privacy, genuine interest in connecting, care for the house we live in, a desire to explore Lisbon beyond the tourist map.
We value people who understand that community isn’t noise.
It’s a consideration. And that living together works best when everyone contributes to the energy of the house.
good to know
Lisbon it’s a city of hills. You’ll walk more than you think. Comfortable shoes matter.
Most of the city center is walkable. As you’re staying in Baixa, you’ll barely need public transport. The river, cafés, viewpoints and cool spots are all within reach. But take time to check nearby beaches and cities.
Summers are bright, long and social. Expect beach days, festivals and late sunsets. It’s high season, things get busy. Winters are mild and slower. Fewer tourists, softer light, more local energy. Bring layers (we sound like your mom but trust us).
And one more thing: Lisbon is historic. Truly historic.
Many buildings in the city center have survived earthquakes, tsunamis and invasions. They carry stories and sometimes imperfections. Floors may not be perfectly straight. Walls may have character. That’s part of living in a historic European capital.
You’re in the heart of Lisbon, you’ll find tourists. But also amazing hidden gems (ask our local staff about it).
English is widely spoken. The city is safe. The pace is slower than you expect.
Lisbon rewards people who stay long enough to feel it. Don’t rush it.
Summer in Lisbon
Summer means beach days in Costa da Caparica, sunset swims, street festivals, outdoor dinners, long golden evenings on nice rooftops. Our house gets packed, remember to book in advance.
Winter in Lisbon
Winter means cozy dinners, some rainy city walks, slower mornings, deep work energy, cultural events and some gold light. The warmest winter in Europe and the house becomes even warmer with good wine.
